CARNOCH FARM

Along Scenic Highway that travels through the beautiful Chippewa National Forest is a little five acre farm. It was far from a farm when we got here. It was mistreated, abandoned and falling apart. It had been years since any animals lived in the crumbling buildings and the farmhouse was not somewhere anyone would like to live. But we saw the potential. Selling almost everything we had, we left our life in Colorado behind and started on an amazing adventure in a new way of life.

ABOUT CARNOCH FARM

Something just feels right about living this way. We truly believe it was the way God always intended us to live. We take care of the nature around us, and it takes care of us. We take pride in our hard work and follow the path God lays out before us and we always end up happier than we ever could have thought.

Our farm seems to grow every day. Pigs, chickens, ducks, gardens, buildings, tractors and more seem to  show up all the time!

Carnoch is a Gaelic word meaning "on rocky ground". and you will find boulders that are flat and smooth and rocks just at ground level scattered all over the property. It seems like they had to be planted tiny pebbles hundreds of years ago and somehow grew in that spot. It doesn't make sense with the flat and soft ground around it and they are always a surprise when we uncover a new one

100% NATURAL, FREE RANGE & GMO/CHEMICAL FREE

Have you ever wondered whether growing and raising your own food is worth the time and effort it requires? Why farm and have livestock, after all, when you can so easily and conveniently buy produce from a grocery store?

It’s a fair question — and I never thought about it much until we decided we wanted to move away from the city.

Once we started to learn about where our food comes from we knew we had to be part of the change.

Happy Life for animals

Big farms and agriculture services don't want you to know the kind of life the animals live that become our food. The reason you can buy so cheap at the grocery is because these animals are so uncared for and so mistreated that they can quickly and cheaply mass produce food. Don't be a victim of not knowing where your food comes from.

Good food for people

Most of the food you can buy has been grown in places where they use chemicals to fertilize and keep away pests. Thy use GMOs to ensure the quickest and biggest crop yield. Animals are raised in such terrible conditions that they are fed tons of antibiotics and other un-natural agents to ensure they can survive the dirty living conditions and not become ill (like normal animals would in the same environment). But we all pay for these things with our health. Know where your food comes from and know what is in it!
