Where do you operate?

We are a Midwest-based animal transportation company, and all of our trips originate from the Midwest. From there, we can travel anywhere in the continental United States to get your animal where they need to go. Whether you're looking for transportation to a neighboring state or across the country, we're happy to discuss your route and transportation needs.

How much does animal transportation cost?

We charge by the mile, rather than using a flat rate based solely on the destination.

For animals under 200 lbs., our typical rate is approximately $2 per mile, with a $400 minimum trip charge unless other arrangements have been agreed upon in advance.

As a general guide, that works out to approximately:

• Under 200 miles: $400 minimum

• 500 miles: approximately $1,000

• 1,000 miles: approximately $2,000

• 1,500 miles: approximately $3,000

• 2,000 miles: approximately $4,000

• 3,000 miles: approximately $6,000

These are estimates, not guaranteed quotes. Final pricing can vary based on the animal, route, scheduling, special care requirements, and other transportation considerations.

What if my animal weighs more than 200 lbs.?

Larger animals require additional space, equipment, and often a different type of trailer.

For animals over 200 lbs., pricing is determined based on the size and needs of the animal and the trailer required for safe transportation. As a general estimate, you can expect approximately $3 per mile, although your actual quote may be higher or lower depending on the specific circumstances.

For livestock and larger animals, we will discuss your animal and transportation needs with you before providing a final quote.

Do you transport livestock and farm animals?

Yes! We aren't just a pet transportation company.

Our team has many years of experience with farms, livestock, companion animals, and animal care. We own and operate an established farm as well as a mobile petting zoo, which means transporting animals is already a regular part of what we do.

Our experience includes transporting a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, livestock, and other farm and companion animals. We understand that different species and individual animals have different needs when traveling.

Why should I choose an animal transporter with farm experience?

We are USDA Class T-registered commercial transporter.

Animals aren't cargo.

Safe transportation requires an understanding of animal behavior, handling, stress, temperature, space, loading and unloading, and the individual needs of different species.

Because we operate our own farm and mobile petting zoo, animal transportation isn't something we are learning as we go. We regularly load, transport, unload, and care for animals as part of our everyday operations.

Our goal is to make the trip as safe, calm, and comfortable as possible for both the animal and their owner.

Will I know where my animal is during the trip?

Absolutely.

We understand how difficult it can be to hand your animal over to someone and then wait for them to arrive.

That's why we provide location and photo updates throughout the journey. You'll be able to follow along as your animal makes their way to their destination and receive updates along the way.

We want you to feel informed and comfortable from pickup to delivery.

How long does animal transportation take?

Travel time depends on the distance, route, weather, road conditions, required stops, and the needs of the animal.

For long-distance transportation, a single driver generally travels approximately 600–700 miles per driving day, with appropriate rest stops and overnight stays when necessary.

For example, a 2,500-mile trip may take approximately 4–5 days door to door, depending on circumstances.

Animal safety comes first. We don't believe in rushing an animal simply to save a few hours, and we build appropriate stops into longer journeys.

Can you transport multiple pets from the same household?

Yes!

If you have multiple animals traveling together, let us know when requesting a quote. Whenever practical, animals from the same household can travel together.

Multiple animals may require additional space or equipment depending on their size, species, and individual needs, so we'll determine the best transportation setup when planning your trip.

Can you transport mixed-species households?

Often, yes.

Dogs, cats, and smaller animals may be able to travel together when appropriate. However, every animal and combination of animals is different.

Because we have experience with both companion animals and livestock, we will consider the animals' individual needs, compatibility, size, and transportation requirements when determining the safest setup.

Do you transport rescue or shelter animals?

Yes!

We understand that rescue organizations and shelters often have animals that need to travel long distances to reach foster homes, adopters, veterinary care, or new facilities.

Rescue and shelter transportation is considered case-by-case, and we are happy to discuss your organization's needs and provide a quote.

Do you offer short-distance transportation?

Our service is primarily designed for regional, cross-state, and long-distance animal transportation, rather than local in-town pet-taxi services.

Our standard minimum booking is $400, which helps cover the dedicated driver, vehicle, fuel, time, and operational costs involved in providing a private animal transportation service.

For very short trips, a local pet-taxi service may be more economical. For regional and long-distance transportation, however, we'd be happy to help.

Is my animal transported with other people's animals?

Transportation arrangements depend on the trip, the animals involved, and the equipment required.

Our priority is always safe and appropriate transportation, and we consider the needs of every animal when determining how a trip will be handled.

We'll explain the transportation arrangement for your specific trip before booking.

Does someone stay with my animal during the trip?

Your animal is under the care of our transportation team throughout the journey. We regularly check on animals, provide appropriate stops and care, and keep you updated along the way.

Because we operate a farm and mobile petting zoo ourselves, we understand that animals need more than simply being loaded into a trailer and driven from Point A to Point B.

What information do you need to give me a quote?

To provide an accurate quote, we'll generally need:

• Pickup location

• Delivery location

• Animal species and breed

• Approximate weight and size

• Number of animals

• Preferred travel dates

• Any special medical, behavioral, mobility, or care considerations

• Whether the animal will be traveling with a crate, kennel, stall, or other equipment

For larger animals, photos may also be helpful when determining the appropriate trailer and equipment.

What is included in the transportation price?

Your transportation quote covers the transportation service based on the agreed route and circumstances of your trip.

Depending on the trip, this may include the dedicated transportation vehicle, driver, fuel, appropriate animal stops, and location and photo updates throughout the journey.

Any special requirements or additional services will be discussed with you before the trip.
